Italy is home to some of the world's most impressive landscapes, including stunning coastline, lush green countryside and beautiful lakes amongst others. These spectacular lakes and surrounding countryside are the views that are to be enjoyed from this new, inclined panoramic elevator in Lake Garda. It has been in operation for only a few months and was specially built for the Riva del Garda Bastion in Northern Italy, offering spectacular views of the town, the famous lake and its surroundings. Completely glazed, it overcomes a 130-metre drop in just 2 minutes.
The lift allows you to reach the Venetian Bastion from the centre of Riva del Garda in just 2 minutes. Moreover, this elevator system has been designed to fit perfectly into the natural environment, while enhancing its historical and cultural offer with unique views of Lake Garda.
The elevator has an inclination ranging from 37° to 43°, to overcome an altitude difference of 130 metres. It has a capacity of 1,875 kilograms, which allows the transport of 21 people in total, although now with the current COVID-19 social distance measures, the maximum is 14. It covers a distance of 208 metres in approximately 2 minutes with a travel speed of 1.4 metres per second.
