From 19th to 23th May 2022 the Turin International Book Fair is back. The dates for the fair are now confirmed, as the Turin Book Fair returns to the Lingotto Fiere Torino conference centre.

The Turin International Book Fair Programme

"Cuori selvaggi", translating as "Wild hearts" is the theme of the 34th edition of the Book Fair which was presented in April at SERMIG Arsenal of Peace in Turin. This theme is a common thread that will accompany the events, conversations, shows, readings and concerts that will take place during the fair. As underlined by this year's Manifesto, created by the illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, turbulence and hope are mingled, and the Book Fair wants to invite readers to run wildly towards a horizon of untrodden paths and boundless freedom.

Friuli Venezia Giulia is the guest region, meaning that Italian writers and poets will discuss the region's characteristic themes, while new spaces are also planned for the fair, including outdoor spaces, bringing the total exhibition area to 110 thousand square metres. New additions include the Casa della Pace (House of Peace), a space dedicated to dialogue, meetings, and information on solidarity initiatives concerning the emergency situation in Ukraine.

Another addtion at the 2022 edition of the Turin International Book Fair will be the Bosco degli Scrittori (Writers' Wood) created by Aboca Edizioni: an amphitheatre made up of over 1,000 trees, where it will be possible to listen to presentations and debates on major environmental issues.

The first edition of Calcetto Letterario (Literary Football) will also be held outdoors, a charity table football tournament organised by the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research in cooperation with FISCB, the Italian Federation of Table Football Sports.

There will also be an area dedicated to Tarot card reading, organised by Lo Scarabeo, a leading publisher in the sector. As well as this, in collaboration with the Italian Tennis Federation and to reaffirm the strong link between the city and the Nitto ATP Finals, tennis practice courts for adults and children will be set up at the fair.
