The Forbes Travel Guide for 2020, included a total of 60 Italian hotels, restaurants and spas. The following facilities, however, were crowned with 5 stars and therefore certified as hotels of excellence and luxury. The best luxury hotels in Italy, according to Forbes, are: the Belmond Hotel Caruso on the Amalfi Coast, the Hotel de la Ville Rocco Forte in Rome, Hotel II Pellicano in Porto Ercole, Monte Argentario, Le Sirenuse in Positano and the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Montalcino.
Among the new entries in 2020 for the 4-star category are the Belmond Castello di Casole in Tuscany, the Hotel Brunelleschi in Florence, the Hotel Santa Caterina on the Amalfi Coast and also in the San Pietro di Positano area.
In the list of "recommended hotels", you can also find the Borgo San Felice in Tuscany, Gran Hotel Fasano on Lake Garda and Palazzo Avino also on the Amalfi Coast. Let’s have a look at some of these spectacular 5-star hotels.
