The island of Salina, where the complex is located, is ideally located at the centre of the Aeolian archipelago and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. The recently built complex is the result of a careful renovation of several typical Aeolian cottages in 2008. In this renovation, an attempt was made to maintain the architectural features that characterise the local structures.
