Tripadvisor's annual "Travellers' Choice Awards" have named the 25 most beautiful beaches in Europe to visit in 2022. The Italian presence is quite substantial, the highest step of the podium was awarded to the wonderful Isola dei Conigli in Lampedusa, but it is not the only pearl of the ranking boot.

Closing the top ten, in tenth place, is Cala Rossa beach in Favignana (Sicily). It is a small beach located inside splendid tuff quarries. Here, the transparent and inviting sea is embraced by a frame of cliffs that run all around it and from which you can admire the panorama.
Lu Impostu
At number 18 in the ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Europe according to Tripadvisor is Lu Impostu in San Teodoro (Sardinia). It is a real gem on the north-eastern coast of the island, an uncontaminated paradise protected by the Tavolara marine area, of which it is part, a beach of fine white sand, dotted with junipers and mimosas.
Tropea
In 24th place is the beach of Tropea, in Calabria, which was also elected Italy's most beautiful village in 2021. The sea is blue and the sand white, the most famous beaches of Tropea are: Cannone beach, Rotonda beach, 'A Linguata, Marina dell'Isola, Convento beach, Passo Cavalieri beach, L'Occhiale beach. Grotta del Palombaro (Palombaro Cave) deserves a special mention. It can only be reached by sea and is sheltered by a large cave.
