This list of villages in Italy excludes some of the most well known villages that attract thousands of tourists every year, and instead focuses on small villages on Italy that are less well known but no less fascinating and equally as beautiful. These are the towns and villages that have been singled out by the magazine and therefore the most beautiful villages in Italy according to international tourists.
Tivoli

According to the magazine, Tivoli is the most beautiful village in Italy, a pearl of Lazio rich in masterpieces of history and art, with its splendid villas. Tivoli is mainly known to tourists two main attractions: Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este's gardens. However, wen visiting Tivoli, we also recommend heading to the town itself which is overflowing with history, including ruins of Roman aqueducts, a medieval castle, and several churches.
Bard

Bard is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of northwestern Italy. The fortified complex of Bard is judged the second most beautiful village in Italy, surrounded by beautiful mountains, while also being a strategic point for excursions in the local area. The village is quiet and picturesque, and features many 16th century buildings with the mountains as their backdrop.
Tropea

Also on the podium of the most beautiful villages in Italy is Tropea, the Calabrian seaside resort with stunning views and the iconic Sanctuary of Santa Maria dell'Isola perched on a cliff. Matera

Matera is one of the most famous cities on this ranking of the most beautiful villages in Italy and it's easy to see why. The so called "city of stones" takes sixth place in the world ranking, after also having been voted the most welcoming town on earth in 2022. Porto Ercole

Monteleone d’Orvieto

In ninth place, Monteleone d'Orvieto, in Valdichiana, boasts an enchanting view from the hills, rich in fortifications, art and history. The village is located in the Italian region of Umbria, about 35km fro Perugia, and is becoming more frequently known as a real hidden gem in Italy thanks to its charming streets and impressive cathedral.
Tremezzo

The village of Tremezzo on Lake Como takes tenth place in the ranking of Italy's most beautiful villages, with its mountain views and lake landscape. The marvellous villas and impressive hotels built in previous centuries have made Tremezzo an international tourism landmark, and you're never far from history in this coastal and hilly area.
