After more than two years of renovation, the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brand has reopened a historic 16th-century palace located in the historic centre of Florence, transformed into a hotel and renamed Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi. During this period of reform, the brand has preserved its rich aristocratic heritage and Renaissance splendour. This resort is Tivoli's second property in Italy, following the Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana Wellness Resort & Spa, which opened in June 2023 near Trieste.

The Florentine palace, which belonged to the Gaddi and Arrighetti families, is notable for its rooms decorated with frescoes and an extensive collection of 16th-century art. The renovation process, led by designers Patrizia Quartero and Guy Oliver, has preserved the building's historical character while modernising it with the most contemporary comforts.

In the lobby, you will find the Milton Bar, named after one of Palazzo Gaddi's most illustrious guests, the poet John Milton, who found inspiration here to write his masterpiece, Paradise Lost, during his stay in 1638.

The hotel offers a variety of experiences for its guests, from a romantic candlelit dinner in a frescoed ballroom to a cooking class with Chef Iside to discover the art of homemade pasta, or a Tuscan meal in the hotel's private wine cellar.
