The Social Hub, a Dutch company specialising in hybrid hospitality, hands over the keys to the new headquarters of Accademia Italiana - AD Education group, completing the renovation and transformation of the first building part of a major urban regeneration project in the capital. Where there used to be customs offices, there will now be classrooms and innovative spaces for the Accademia Italiana, open not only to students but also to associations, committees and other realities in the artistic and cultural field in the neighbourhood.

The opening of Accademia Italiana is the first step in a larger urban regeneration project comprising more than 24,000 square metres of built-up space that counts on an initial investment of around 90 million euros by The Social Hub. With the completion of the work, expected by 2024, numerous services and common spaces dedicated not only to hospitality, but also to co-working, meetings and events, as well as 10,000 square metres of public parkland available and open to the city, will be accessible to guests, students and citizens.

Particular attention is paid to environmental and social impact at all stages of development, with the aim of creating a community that has access to inclusive and accessible spaces, as well as ensuring the best available performance. All the buildings have been designed following sustainable standards and building intelligence systems in line with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certification: the world's most recognised and important building environmental assessment methodology for measuring the level of sustainability and performance of buildings.

The new campus, entirely dedicated to design, has seen a strong participation of students who have contributed in the first instance to the creation of the spaces in which they will study, putting into practice the disciplines taught at the Accademia Italiana. From photography (with photos and videos that followed the construction site and the development of the building), to interior and product design (in the fitting out of the school and the design of the city park), to fashion design and jewellery (where they co-created the workshops and classrooms dedicated to them together with the teachers of the Academy itself).
In addition to Rome, The Social Hub is planning two new openings by 2025: Florence(Belfiore) and Turin, which will be added to the two facilities already opened in Bologna and Florence (Lavagnini), making Italy the second most important market for the Dutch company.
