How the auction works
Participation in the auction consists of submitting a secret bid for the auction without an auction. In the sole event that several valid bids of equal amount are submitted and placed ex-aequo in first place, the notary auctioneer shall proceed with the auction.
The auction without an auction consists of the submission for each Lot of a secret bid in paper, digital or scanned paper form before the Auctioneer Notary or Peripheral Notary in an amount at least equal to the indicated base auction price.
The real estate in question will be sold through the Rete Aste Notarili (RAN), the IT system set up by the National Council of Notaries for the management of telematic auctions.
Through the connection from notary offices throughout Italy, in fact, it is possible for interested parties to participate in web-based auctions, being able to bid even hundreds of kilometres from the property, breaking down territorial barriers with the guarantee and security of the notary.
How does one participate in a telematic notary auction? A person interested in buying a property will no longer have to attend the auction personally, but may go to the office of any notary that is a member of the RAN, in order to pay the deposit and make bids.
Subsequently, on the day and at the time stipulated in the notice, the citizen may go to the notary's office where they have submitted his bid. During the auction session, which will take place via the web linking all notaries together, the notary will inform all participants present of the bids from all over Italy, so that everyone is aware of how the auction is progressing, and may bid if they wish.
